I'd be impressed if they did it without those gloves.

Twins turn a triple play against the Yankees, now that doesn't happen very often:

He couldn't have been to many games then, I've seen more than a few of them. Of course, that's a run-of-the-mill play in cricket

I've watched a fair few games of baseball on TV in Japan.
Doesn't really float my boat in the slightest but if people enjoy it fair play to them.
Rule question
Can you catch the ball in your non gloved hand?
Does it ever happen?

Fair play. They were both very entertaining games. Probably more so than average. The teams managed to put out a great advert for the sport.

I played baseball as a youth in the Babe Ruth leagues in the USA as a 13-14 year old, way back in the 1960βs, it was a lot of fun! Living in Massachusetts & Connecticut at that time I was a Red Sox fan (also the SF Giants).

Sorry all. When this first came out, i told anyone that was going to take a book to read, as it was dull to watch. Well it seems like the only dull games are the ones I have been to and they all involved the Braves. Hope that anyone that went to the games enjoyed it!

That Mariano Rivera was a great pitcher / closer for the Yankees

3 homers in the first inning 4-0 start, could be on for another big scoring game again

Apprently the over/under betting line for todays game is the highest in MLB history

If a starting pitcher gets yanked early, teams have what is called a long reliever from the bullpen to take them through the late innings and then if the game is close, bring in your closer

Cheers Was just weird that none of them seemed to settle & I guess having your starter yanked in the first innings causes a bit of panic. It was a strange game and as one of the commentators said theyβd never seen a team look so nervous going into the 9th with a 4 run lead.

First time iβve seen that many pitchers used without it going to some ridiculous amount of extra innings, you usually rely on your opening pitcher to go at least 6 innings, some can even pitch a full game and then the bullpen comes in to mop up the remainder.
Doesnt help when both starting pitchers were yanked inside the first inning
